Our PhD student on rotation in Madrid
Our collegue and PhD student Sophie Ivarsson was granted a seven week rotation at the Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Cardiovasculares (CNIC) in Madrid. She is working on experiments that we do together with our collaborators in David Sanchos lab and learning new techniques.
- Here I get the opportunity to meet new people, learn new techniques and see how research is performed in another lab and another country. Having the chance to go abroad during my PhD is very valuable and developing, as well as a lot of fun. Apart from work, it’s also nice to leave the Swedish fall for a few extra weeks of sun!
summerizes Sophie.
The university acknowledged the stay in an article: Doktoranden Sophie forskar på tarmmikrobiotan i Madrid | Göteborgs universitet (gu.se) (Swedish only)
