The complexity of the microbial world always fascinates me. From origin of life, to the microorganisms' mechanisms of adaptation to the environment and constant evolution. Therefore I decided to study and work in the microbiology field. My driving force is being part of microbial research which could contribute to human well-being.
Currently I am managing the master strain library bank and working on isolation and characterisation of new strains from the human gut. It's exciting and fun to play with some of the rarest isolates and uncultured bacteria!
