Chinmay Dwibedi

My research is focused on evaluating the role of gut microbiota with disease progression and drug action in patients with pre-diabetes and type 2 diabetes.

During my PhD studies, I was fascinated by the evolution of low frequency variants in a bacterial population. In my current role, am focused on working at the interface of microbial genomics and metagenomics with a special interest in studying strain level variants in the gut microbiome.

Ultimately, my aim is to contribute towards an ongoing effort to translate laboratory findings into clinical application.
