Billions of microbes inside and around us profoundly influence digestion, metabolic processes, and overall health. Yet, our understanding of these microbial communities remains limited. As my research continues, I am convinced that unraveling the complexities of the human microbiome is key to advancing precision medicine.
I am investigating how the microbiome changes in cardiometabolic diseases and how these alterations may influence disease progression and treatment responses. Additionally, I explore the role of gut phages, particularly their existence, prevalence, and impact on bacteriome dynamics.
Ultimately, I aim to contribute to the advancement of precision medicine by identifying microbiome-based biomarkers and therapeutic targets for cardiometabolic diseases. My goal is to translate microbiome research into clinical applications, enabling personalized treatment strategies.
