Last week our PhD student Sophie went to the Summer School on Diabetes, Metabolism and Endocrinology for PhD students, arranged by the Danish Diabetes and Endocrine Academy (DDEA) at Gl. Avernæs in Ebberup, Denmark.

It was a high-quality course filled with interesting lectures, poster presentations, workshops and networking opportunities. Sophie had a great experience and learnt a lot and received a "Best Poster Award" for her poster on the topic of bacterially produced metabolites and type 2 diabetes.

Thank you to the Academy for arranging this event, giving PhD students the opportunity to gain new knowledge, interact with other researchers and get valuable input on their research.
