Happy to have PhD student Jamie Kraft in our group!
In September doctoral student Jamie Kraft joined us and she will work under the supervision of Robert Caesar who is one of the senior researcher in our group.
“After eating a high fat meal, individuals have increased levels of circulating bacteria derived endotoxin, lipopolysaccharide. It has been shown that dietary fat plays an important role in endotoxin uptake in intestinal epithelial cells. I will be looking at the effect of different fatty acids on endotoxin uptake and migration across the intestinal epithelium” says Jamie who will be finishing her PhD with our group.
Welcome Jamie!
