Congratulations to our team member Louise Olofsson who has become an associate professor (docent) in molecular medicine. She will now take on a major teaching role at the Institute of Health and Care Sciences, and will be involved in the nursing programme, alongside with her research in our group.

Our research group takes a translational research approach to investigate how the gut microbiota contributes to cardiometabolic disease.
We aim to increase the knowledge of the metagenome and explore how metabolites interacts in the processes for developing T2D and CVD.
