Our research group hosted the Biannual Microbiome Health Initiative Meeting
Recently, our research group had the pleasure of hosting the annual meeting of the Microbiome Health Initiative (MHI) — a collaborative effort dedicated to uncovering causal links between the gut microbiome and cardiometabolic diseases (CMD) such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular disease.
As one of seven European research groups in MHI, we welcomed colleagues to a two-day gathering near Gothenburg. The event was packed with scientific exchange, method discussions, and meaningful networking.
Highlights included:
A morning walk in the woods where young scientists connected with senior researchers for career advice
Evening swims in the lake before dinner for those who dared
Inspiring conversations and a shared passion for advancing microbiome research and clinical implementation
A big thank you to everyone who made these days both memorable and inspiring! We are looking forward the Spring meeting in Amsterdam.
